81 Theta Chi brothers John Murray and Dave Mason ’80, with his wife Sue, reunite in September 2024 for a Penn State tailgate. 84 The Rev. Dann Caldwell and fellow alumnus, The Rev. John Callanan, attended the Annual Lincoln Forum Conference in Gettysburg, Pa., Nov. 16-18, 2024. This conference is a yearly symposium hosted by The Lincoln Forum, an organization dedicated to studying the life and times of Abraham Lincoln, where scholars and enthusiasts gather to discuss various aspects of Lincoln’s presidency and the Civil War era. This conference typically takes place in Gettysburg and features presentations, panel discussions, and battlefield tours. The flag that Dann is holding is a reproduction of the U.S. Flag of the Union, mid-1860s. 86 Helen (Fitzgerald) Quinn retired in June 2024 after 38 years in public education, most of which were spent working in the State College Area School District. Her career was spent as a secondary math teacher for 17½ years and as an instructional technology coach for 20½ years, plus various other roles such as a Mathcounts coach and yearbook advisor. In this role, Jeff will strive to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization to enable the implementation of key goals and objectives by creating and overseeing the finance and facilities operations of the organization, as well as managing the annual operating and capital budgets that are aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. A native of the greater Williamsport area, Jeff previously served as vice president for finance and administration, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Lycoming College since August 2012. Prior to working at Lycoming, he spent nearly a decade serving as the senior manager at Baker Tilly (formerly ParenteBeard LLC). Aside from his professional experience, Jeff has served as a local Little League volunteer since 2018, served as a team manager of the Loyalsock Township (Pa.) Little League program, and has spent two decades coaching for AYSO and time on the boards of both the North Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA (PICPA) and Big Brothers Big Sisters in Central Pennsylvania. 97 For nearly four decades, ADWEEK has been recognizing the brightest minds in branding and marketing with their highest honor, the Brand Genius Award. After five years of strategic work, she is now the national director for program integration assisting hospitals with protocol and work stream development for a new sector of ICU and emergency medicine neurodiagnostic care. Werking ringing the NASDAQ Bell 03 Lyndy LeVan, Jason Black ’02, and Laurie Scherer ’02 are proud to represent Lycoming basketball on “Sport Your Favorite College Day” at Susquenita Middle School in Duncannon, Pa. 04 Upon completion of a rigorous police department promotional process, Gloria Neeld earned a total score ample enough to promote to the rank of sergeant on the first compiled list, which was effective Oct. 6, 2024. Having been with the department for 10 years, seven of her years prior to this promotion were served as a special crimes detective in both the Child Abuse Unit, as well as Domestic Violence Unit. It was with a heavy heart she opted to promote, leaving that position, with the intent of career growth and expansion. 05 The Rev. Cynthia Betz-Bogoly was called to serve as the new pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run (PCDR) in Perkasie, Pa., starting Dec. 4, 2024. The congregation was excited to welcome her as they prepare to celebrate their 300th anniversary in 2025. PCDR is located within the Presbytery of Philadelphia. Cynthia will be serving as solo pastor and head of staff. In this role, she will preach every Sunday, oversee the ministry and mission of the congregation, help guide the 35 www.lycoming.edu
