on-site nursery school, work closely with the ruling elders and deacons, serve as administrator for the several community programs, buildings, and services the church provides, including the very active hunger relief ministry, and moderate the church board. Cynthia is entering her 17th year of ordained ministry as a Minister of Word & Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church USA. She has also been recently elected to the role of secretary of the board of The Fellowship Community (TFC) in 2025. TFC is a network of churches and leaders called together to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ by growing in Christ’s likeness, living by God’s Word, and joining in God’s mission in the world. At the heart of TFC is the desire to reclaim a covenanted biblical community, where we are united by a clearly articulated theology, a shared commitment to disciple-making, and a culture of encouragement and accountability. Cynthia recently served as preacher for Lycoming’s Homecoming chapel service on Oct. 6, 2024. She graduated with a dual degree in religion and electronic media. 07 Melissa Stiles has been named on this year’s Central Penn Business Journal 40 Under 40. The Forty Under 40 awards recognize the future leaders of Central Pennsylvania who are under the age of 40. These individuals are not only achieving success in their careers but are giving back in meaningful ways to the Central PA community. 10 Patrick Gardiner and Gabrielle (Harper) Gardiner welcomed their third child, a son, Alfred Christopher Gardiner, on Oct. 26, 2024. Alfred joins big brother, James (2), and big sister, Grace (4). 15 Charlie Marshall and his wife, Macauley, celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, Weston Marshall, in mid-September. Macauley and Weston taken on her first birthday! 17 Brandi (Preston) married Evan Mundie on Nov. 9, 2024, in Lancaster, Pa. In attendance were (L to R) Maria (Neubert) Perry, Christine Almassy ’18, and Emily Feld. 18 Reid (Groder) and Eddie McCarthy ‘19 were married on May 10, 2024, in Sparta, N.J., with 25 Lycoming alumni, including Reid’s dad and sister, in attendance! The couple is so grateful to Lycoming for being their home away from home for four years and for bringing them together almost nine years ago. Alumni included friends (and family!) from the Classes of 1990, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Julia (Suchanek) and Zach Nice were married on Dec. 27, 2023, in the Dominican Republic! The couple welcomed their son, Julian Thomas Nice, on April 16, 2024. 19 Christa Matlack and John Peters welcomed their second son, Tobias Jeffrey Peters, on July 1, 2024. He joins big brother, John T. Peters. It was a busy summer working, moving, and parenting. All of these blessings began at Lycoming, and they are grateful every day.
