She is continuing to develop a program to send interns and/or long-term volunteers to the border to specifically serve children in respite centers, shelters, and other migrant relief services. Additionally, she is now working with On Earth Peace as a migrant justice organizing intern, as well as Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services of the Diocese of Harrisburg, Pa., as a family selfsufficiency coordinator. Last March, “Bucky Deacon’s Dilemma,” a young adult novel about an eighth-grade football team, was also released on Amazon.com. Tom co-wrote that book with the late Bill Byham, former sports information director at Lycoming and a member of the College’s Hall of Fame. 92 Mark Ohlinger was recently promoted to senior manager of retirement services for The Vanguard Group Inc. in Malvern, Pa. In his new position, Mark leads the retirement services teams at headquarters in Malvern as well as Charlotte, N.C., and Scottsdale, Ariz., focusing on client service and continuous process improvements that help clients retire with confidence. Mark is in his 24th year with Vanguard; previously, he served as a leader in Vanguard’s retail sales, operations, and brokerage units. See page 44. Andrea (Ruble) Calmon was an accomplished crime television show producer for “America’s Most Wanted” and documentaries for Discovery Channel for 15 years after graduating from Lycoming. She took a hiatus from production to pursue a career in healthcare. She obtained a degree in applied sciences and worked as a physical therapist assistant as well as a licensed massage therapist. She also worked in acute care rehabilitation for seven years and through the pandemic at a local hospital. On Nov. 1, 2021, she took a new job that was offered to her from a former colleague in the world of crime television and is now a producer for the number one crime series on ID (Investigation Discovery) called “Evil Lives Here.” She has two episodes under her belt which aired during the summer.
