As he reflects on his PCOM career, a few proximal milestones stand out. Through their online program, Lisa focused her coursework on immigration rights. After volunteering with migrant families held at the southern border of Texas and Mexico in 2020, she decided to pursue her degree in order to investigate ways to create concrete change for those fleeing from violent, poverty filled countries.
