85 A&RW Celebrate your 35 th Reunion at Tom Hughes , the state hazard mitigation officer for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, was on campus as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s open house, “DEP Connects Open House: Maintaining Streams in Your Community,” hosted by Lycoming’s Clean Water Institute. Tom Hughes with Mel Zimmerman 86 Lynn Malzone Ierardi recently published her new book, “Storytelling: The Secret Sauce of Fundraising Success,” which is available on Amazon.com. She welcomed readers at a book launch in May 2019 at the Penn Bookstore/ Barnes and Noble in Philadelphia. Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania announced that Kimberly Olszewski has been awarded the Breiner Family Endowed Professorship for Nursing. She teaches in the graduate nursing program and is director of Nurse Practitioner and Doctorate in Nursing programs, as well as graduate program coordinator for the department. Kurt Weirich started a new position in December 2018 with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as the section chief for the deployment field teams based at the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center in Virginia. 91 In 2015, Chestnut Hill College started a brand new football program. With the help of Dave Gibbons ’88 , Mike Pearson , and Darrin Kenney ’92 , Chestnut Hill College has built a winning football program. Chestnut Hill College plays in the Collegiate Sprint Football League with teams like Army, Navy, Cornell, and the University of Pennsylvania. Dave and Darrin coach offense and Mike serves as head football coach and assistant athletic director for recruitment. Co-owners Rich Galassini and Tim Oliver, both performing musicians themselves, head up a staff including artists, educators, and elite technicians. Based in greater Philadelphia since the late 19 th century, Cunningham Piano is a manufacturer, rebuilder, and retailer. Within the past decade, it has recreated a classic century-old piano line, founded a music school, and provided an organ for the Pope’s Partners Rich Galassini and Tim Oliver (left and center) receive Yamaha’s New Dealer of the Year Award for 2017 from Robert Nolen of Yamaha 2015 visit to Philadelphia. Last year, it was honored as Top New Dealer for Yamaha’s Keyboard Division. The late Robert “Bobby” Shull was posthumously inducted into the Delaware County Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on June 23, 2019. 96 Dr. Darrin Mangiacarne has been appointed Central Indiana Medical Director for Spero Health Inc., an integrated healthcare services organization specializing in local and affordable outpatient care for individuals suffering from substance use disorder. He joins Spero Health with an extensive and distinguished background focused on substance use disorders, treatment, and prevention. Double board- certified in family medicine and addiction medicine, he was co-chair of the Indiana Attorney General’s Task Force and is the current president of the Indiana Society of Addiction Medicine.
