Beyond the Next Star is her latest novel released on June 23, 2020 — an exciting branch from her paranormal romance roots, keeping the dark grit from her Night Blood series and taking it to new worlds. Told from the dual perspectives of both human pet and alien owner, Melody’s story weaves a slow-burn romance that explores the bonds of love in all its forms, navigating the main characters’ relationship in delicate stages from oblivious ownership to woke, romantic love. Learn more at authormelodyjohnson.com . Katurah (Shaner) and Ryan Wyland welcomed their son Delano Eugene, born March 26, 2020, at 3:01 p.m. weighing 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long. He joins big brother, Warren Otto. 13 Alyssa (Tomaskovic) married Derek Scott on Sept. 21, 2019, in Sparta, N.J., surrounded by family and friends in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Alyssa’s brother, Nicholas Tomaskovic ’11 , and best friend, Dr. Terrance Lynn , were members of the wedding party. Also in attendance were several other members of the class of 2013 to help make the celebration even more special. Nolan Rhys Harvey was born to Dr. Caitlin DeAngelo and husband, Dr. Ian Harvey, on May 6, 2020. 14 Taylor Anspach graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. During his preclinical years, he was inducted into Sigma Sigma Phi Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity for his outstanding community and scholastic accomplishments. He completed his core clerkships at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., where he continued his extracurricular involvement and community service. He demonstrated attributes of a humanistic physician and leader in the community and was later inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Taylor is continuing his medical training in anesthesiology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Kayla McQuaid graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, having earned a Master of Social Work in 2016 and recently became a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in February 2020. Alyssa (Rogers) and Andrew Wagner ’13 were married on campus in Clarke Chapel on Dec. 28, 2019. A reception was held in Williamsport with several alumni in attendance. The couple met and began dating while attending Lycoming. Andrew is employed by Williamsport Area School District as an elementary teacher, and Alyssa is employed by Larson Design Group as a human resources manager. Andrew, a former Lycoming football player, has since returned to his alma mater to join the coaching staff. 41 www.lycoming.edu
