They not only teach them in the aspect of math and reading, but they also shape them for the person they are supposed to be. Qualities like compassion, selflessness, and kindness can all be learned.” Mackenzie Bilger ’19 Psychology major Early childhood education (PreK-4) with special education (PreK-8) certification “Today, so many students struggle to see improvement as a success. Instead, students measure their success by a grade. It is time to challenge this mindset. My goal is to teach my students to see more than just a grade.
