Glenn Fiedelholtz ’78 has published a bestselling cyber thriller book, “Operation Taiwan: Project Quantum.” The novel is a geo-political thriller, exposing the fragile line between order and chaos in our interconnected world and the men and women who risk everything to defend it. From the article “Beginner’s Book Tour” appearing in the January 2026 issue of Astronomy 80s John “Jace” Scala ’80 responded to an article appearing in the September 2025 issue of Astronomy magazine seeking recommendations for beginner’s book guides to the night sky. His response was included in the January 2026 issue of Astronomy. Jace spent 29 years as planetarium director at the Lenape Valley Regional High School Planetarium prior to his retirement in 2016. The United Way of North Central Pennsylvania announced the retirement of President & CEO Ronald Frick ’83, whose leadership and volunteer service with the organization have spanned more than four decades. Ron’s involvement with United Way began in 1984 as a volunteer, and he has remained a dedicated servant-leader ever since. In 2017, he was appointed CEO, bringing with him decades of experience in nonprofit and community work. Tom Speicher ’89 published his third illustrated children’s book, “Waffles Goes to the Beach.” This continues his “Adventures of Waffles the Guinea Pig Series,” which includes “A Week with Waffles” and “A Day with Waffles and Alexis.” Like the other books based on Waffles the Theta Chi brothers gathered in September to honor the memory of David Bonsick ’89.
