If you would like to learn more about QCDs contact Robb Dietrich, assistant vice president for major and planned gifts, at 570-321-4401 or dietrich@lycoming.edu. Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) way to make a DONATION! SMART Strategic Giving Minimize Taxes Age-Based Advantage RMD Satisfaction Targeted Impact Using a QCD is a strategic way to support Lycoming College while minimizing tax liability. It helps you align your philanthropy with smart financial planning. QCDs minimize taxable income by excluding the donated amount from adjusted gross income (AGI), potentially reducing the impact on Medicare premiums and Social Security taxation. QCDs are available to individuals age 70½ or older, aligning with the age at which many retirees begin focusing on legacy planning and required minimum distributions (RMDs). A QCD can replace all or part of a required minimum distribution, allowing you to meet your RMD obligations without increasing your taxable income. Your gift can support Lycoming College in the way you find most meaningful, including scholarships, the Lycoming Fund, an academic program, or your favorite athletic team! Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) can be $1,000, $10,000, or any amount up to a maximum of $111,000 in 2026. A 35 www.lycoming.edu
