Matthew Ruth completed a master’s degree in management with honors from Harvard University and is a Dean’s List Certificate for Academic Achievement recipient. Alyssa Young recently celebrated her one-year anniversary at Northside Hospital. She received a commemorative pin which she wears on her badge next to her Lycoming College pin. Prior to working for Northside, she worked for a private practice in their urgent care. Six months into that position, COVID-19 hit, and she decided that she wanted to grow within the healthcare industry. When not at work, she runs a book club, “Between the Covers,” that focuses on adventure/hiking/nature themes McCaffer believes in a personalized approach to sales. He meticulously studies and analyzes clients’ and potential clients’ day-to-day operations, current financial standing, and executive strategy to tailor solutions that meet each client’s unique needs. He believes too many salespeople try to sell before really understanding what the other person is trying to accomplish. Instead of using a general framework for every client, McCaffer’s personal approach ensures a client’s needs are fully understood. He is based in Chicago. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lycoming where he also served as captain for the men’s lacrosse program. (https://bookclubs.com/join-abook-club/club/37246). She also spends time with fellow Alpha Rho Omega Heather (Nelson) Lanning ’06. She looks forward to connecting with other Lycoming alumni in the greater Atlanta area. She resides in Canton, Ga. Victoria Yuskaitis, Ph.D., graduated with a doctoral in medieval studies from the University of Leeds, Institute for Medieval Studies (IMS), on March, 21, 2022. She handed in the final version of her thesis in December 2020 after passing her viva in November 2020, and received the official diploma in the post on Jan. 18, 2021. However, due to COVID-19, the graduation itself didn’t occur until March. Her thesis is titled “Anchorites in Shropshire: An Archaeological, Historical, and Literary Analysis of the Anchoritic Vocation.” Victoria also graduated with her Master of Arts in medieval archaeology from the University of Sheffield in 2015. In addition, she successfully applied for a Skilled Worker visa to stay long-term in the United Kingdom and received her new documents in December 2021. Victoria is currently sponsored for the visa and employed by the University of Southampton as an academic skills officer in the Learn with U.S. Transition Team. 15 Sophia Elizabeth Chobot was born to Jeremy Chobot ’16 and Lora (Doebler) Chobot on Feb. 11, 2022. She can’t wait to visit the campus where her parents met! 16 In September 2021, Jonathan Gowin was recognized by the National Association of College Admission Counseling with their annual Rising Star Award. He also recently relocated to Boston to begin a new position as the director of the Regional Student Program with the New England Board of Higher Education. 19 Melissa (Bilza) married Zachary Kocis at Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pa., on Jan. 8, 2022. 21 Rayce Newswanger became a member of the Class of 2026 at Drexel University College of Medicine pursuing his medical degree. 22 Wiliana Lundy has joined regional premier accounting and advisory firm, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), as a staff accountant.
