2020 LYCOMING COLLEGE SPRING MAGAZINE

Lycoming College welcomed more than 1,200 alumni and students’ families from across the country to campus to celebrate Homecoming & Family Weekend 2019. We kicked off the festivities on Friday evening with a Food Truck Festival featuring multiple vendors. Always a big attraction was the annual Beer & Pretzel Tent where more than 500 guests reconnected with friends while enjoying appetizers and alumni-brewed beverages by Fleur de Lis, Tröegs, and Yuengling. Everyone had a chance to warm up by the bonfire on the Fultz Quad while roasting s’mores. Registration on Saturday took place in the Krapf Gateway Center, where guests could take a self-guided tour of the spectacular new facility. The Theta Chi “OX” Roast Tailgate Lunch attracted more than 250 alumni, family members, and students to the Shangraw Athletic Complex, and a student and alumni Pep Band entertained spectators at the Warriors football game. The day concluded with simultaneous events throughout the evening. Some alumni headed downtown to the Party at Pine Square where food and drinks were had at the Brickyard Restaurant & Alehouse and Stonehouse Wood Fired Pizza & Pasteria, as well as Boom City Brewing Co. just around the corner. Others enjoyed the theatre department’s performance of “Dancing at Lughnasa” in the Mary L. Welch Theatre, while still more guests attended The Campaign for a Greater Lycoming Celebration in the Keiper Recreation Center. The Heritage Club and Tower Society Breakfast and a worship service in Clarke Chapel wrapped up the weekend’s merriment on Sunday morning. View more photos at www.lycoming.edu/alumniphotos .
