He shares that his exciting radio journey began in Williamsport at just 17 years of age when he was a student at Lycoming. Readers of his generation “get it,” but folks of all ages who are intrigued with the evolution of rock and roll music and/or the history of American radio will also find enjoyment in this book. “Alias Emperor Rodgers: A Majestic Memoir by Baltimore’s Emperor of Insanity In The Crazy Daze of ‘60s Top 40 Radio” is available on Amazon.com, or emperorrodgers.com . 66 On May 17, 2019, at the 149 th commencement of Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C., the only university for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in the world, Janice (Martin) Mitchell, Ed.D. , was bestowed professor emerita status. Quite famous in the late 1800s, Crosby received the first Maine Guide badge and showed persistence and strength at a time when women were traditionally overshadowed by men. Pam lives in Phillips, Maine, Crosby’s birthplace and lifelong home. The entirely Maine-made book appeals to both young and old. I never used my degree to teach, but I’ve certainly used everything I learned at Lycoming throughout my life. Lycoming prepared me for life’s challenges, and I found an acceptance there that gave me the confidence to pursue my own path.” -Matthews 39 www.lycoming.edu
